Miranda Paige Geraci-Yee
Who am I? Let’s see…
Age 0
Born to an Italian mother and a Chinese father. A panache for storytelling with few words is hardwired into my DNA.
Age 1
Runs a little too fast, goes through a window and receives twenty-head stitches. Attributes all future idiosyncratic peculiarities to this singular moment. #brainbump
Age 8
Gains my first understanding of commitment and starts a musical love affair with the harp -- the only constant that would remain for years to come.
Age 13
Enters emo phase, shops at Hot Topic, and begins to write poetry.
Age 18
Beethoven's been a blast, but I'm ready to migrate through the mountains of my own mind. Begins music composing journey.
Age 22
Gets useless/not-so-useless liberal arts degree at Swarthmore in art history. Then, convinces a chic NYC creative ad agency to hire me as a writer.
Age 25
Comes to a crossroad between advertising and user experiences. Leaves the yellowbrick road and heads down the unknown path of a UX writer.
Age 27
Realizes the power of UX writing— how it helps, how it hurts, and everything in between. Begins severe obsession with system writing and language consistency across all brand touchpoints.
Right, so that’s where I am. Thanks for reading. Don’t be shy... drop a line :)
